The product family of Rubber Seals & Gasket CMG is considered to be the benchmark for corrugated metal gasket technology. An excellent choice for ASME flanges of 150 and 300 class where there is limited bolt arming. The geometry of the substratum facilitates stability and regeneration through thermal cycles and extended service life. CMGs can be direct substitutes for spiral wound gaskets and can reduce buckling problems internally while providing a seal with moderate flange tension. CMG type flange gaskets can be used to solve several common flange problems in a wide range of substratum alloys and cover layer choices. Geometries of CMG substrates are designed to achieve optimum recovery features. In order to maximize the seal’s ability to overcome relaxation through joint relaxation, pressure and thermal cycles, a particular pitch, core thickness and wall angle is created.
