The nozzle tip insulator (Gate insualtor) is made of Polyimide material, used for injection molding thermoplastic such as PET bottle preforms.  As thermal insulation of molten plastic to prevent freeze-off of the plastic while awaiting injection inside the hot runner system, and allowing easy color transfer between production batches, reducing downtime of the tool.
