At Kriloha Ltd., we understand that some of the most difficult sealing environments are those where “strength” and “sensitivity” must coexist. In the pharmaceutical and specialty chemical industries, you often face aggressive chemicals in fragile glass-lined equipment. A standard metal gasket would crack the flange, while a standard PTFE gasket would “creep” and leak over time. The Kriloha PTFE Enveloped Corrugated Gasket is our high-performance hybrid solution to this engineering paradox. As a premier global supplier of rubber seals and gaskets, Kriloha Gaskets has engineered this product to provide the chemical invincibility of PTFE with the mechanical stamina of steel.
The architecture of this gasket is built in three distinct layers. At the heart is a Corrugated Stainless Steel core. This core provides the “structural memory” and spring-force. We then apply a soft filler—usually flexible graphite or non-asbestos fiber—to the valleys of the corrugations to provide bulk and conformability. Finally, the entire assembly is encased in a precision-machined PTFE Envelope. This envelope is typically “Y-type” (slit) or “U-type” (milled), ensuring that the process media only ever touches the chemically inert PTFE.
The technical advantage of the Kriloha design lies in the “Ribbed Contact.” When you tighten the bolts, the corrugated peaks of the internal metal ring push through the soft filler and the PTFE to create a series of high-pressure concentric line-seals. This allows you to achieve a “Zero-Leak” status even on flanges that cannot handle high torque. At Kriloha, we utilize Virgin PTFE for our envelopes to ensure maximum density and zero porosity. Whether you are sealing a reactor in a chemical plant or a high-purity line in a lab, Kriloha PTFE Enveloped Corrugated Gaskets deliver the ultimate combination of chemical safety and mechanical recovery.
