The Foundation of Leak-Free Infrastructure
In the demanding world of fluid handling and pressure vessel management, a gasket is more than just a consumable—it is the critical barrier between operational success and catastrophic failure. Kriloha Gaskets is a premier global manufacturer and supplier of high-performance industrial gaskets, engineered to withstand the most aggressive chemical environments, extreme thermal cycles, and high-pressure differentials.
Whether you are managing a municipal water network, a high-pressure petrochemical refinery, or an offshore subsea manifold, Kriloha Gaskets provides the mechanical invincibility and chemical agility required to protect your infrastructure and your personnel.
What is an Industrial Gasket?
An industrial gasket is a mechanical seal which fills the space between two or more mating surfaces, generally to prevent leakage from or into the joined objects while under compression. At Kriloha, our engineering focus is on Recovery and Resilience: the ability of the gasket material to maintain a “live” seal even as flange bolts relax or thermal expansion occurs.
Our Core Gasket Sub-Categories
To serve diverse industrial sectors, Kriloha Gaskets organizes its catalog into specialized sub-categories based on material science and mechanical geometry.
Technical Specifications & Compliance
At Kriloha Gaskets, our manufacturing processes are grounded in international safety and quality standards. This ensures that every seal you install meets the rigorous demands of your specific industry.

The Kriloha Advantage: Engineering Excellence
Why do global engineers specify Kriloha Gaskets? Because we understand that a gasket is a dynamic component.
Precision Machining
Our RTJ and metallic gaskets are machined using CNC technology to ensure that the contact angles (23° for RTJ) are perfect, guaranteeing a seal on the first torque pass.
Advanced Filler Technology
We don't just use "Graphite." We use High-Purity Flexible Graphite with a minimum carbon content of 98%, ensuring the lowest possible leak rates and highest thermal stability.
Integrated Sealing Elements
Many of our specialized gaskets, such as the Kriloha CHG, feature Spring-Energized PTFE seals. This "Live" technology ensures that the gasket reacts to the system pressure, tightening the seal as the pressure increases.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ's)
Q: How do I choose between a Type E and Type F insulation gasket?
A: Type E (Full Face) covers the entire flange face and is self-centering via the bolt holes, providing maximum protection against debris. Type F (Ring Type) fits inside the bolt circle and is easier to install in existing pipelines with tight clearances.
Q: What is the maximum temperature for a Graphite Spiral Wound Gasket?
A: Standard graphite SWGs are rated for +450°C in oxidizing atmospheres. For higher temperatures up to +700°C, Kriloha recommends our Graphite-Mica hybrid filler.
Q: Can I reuse a Spiral Wound Gasket?
A: No. Spiral wound gaskets are designed for a “single-crush” application. Once compressed, the metal winding loses its “spring” and will not provide a reliable seal if re-installed.
Q: How do "Searching Gases" like Hydrogen and Helium affect gasket selection?
A: Searching gases have extremely small molecular structures that can permeate through standard porous gasket materials. For these applications, Kriloha recommends Spring-Energized PTFE seals or High-Density Flexible Graphite with a minimum carbon content of 99%. These materials provide a “Gas-Tight” interface that prevents microscopic leak paths, which is essential for safety and environmental compliance in hydrogen transport and refinery gas headers.
Q: What is "Cold Flow" (Creep), and how does Kriloha prevent it in PTFE gaskets?
A: Cold Flow is the tendency of standard PTFE (Teflon) to permanently deform and “squish” out of the flange under constant pressure and temperature. This leads to a loss of bolt tension and eventual leakage. Kriloha solves this by offering Expanded PTFE (ePTFE) and Filled PTFE gaskets. Our ePTFE undergoes a specialized stretching process that creates a multi-directional fibrous structure, ensuring the gasket remains dimensionally stable and retains high torque over long service cycles.
Installation & Maintenance: The I.K. Program
A gasket is only as good as its installation. Kriloha Gaskets provides a comprehensive I.K. Installation Program to assist field technicians.
- Alignment: Ensure flanges are parallel and concentric.
- Cleaning: Remove all traces of old gasket material and metal filings.
- Torque Protocol: Always use a calibrated torque wrench and follow the Star Pattern tightening sequence to prevent uneven compression.
- Lubrication: Use non-conductive anti-seize for insulation kits to prevent electrical “shorting.”
Why Choose Kriloha Gaskets?
As a global leader in sealing technology, Kriloha Gaskets is committed to Zero-Leakage goals. Our R&D team continuously tests new polymer laminates and metallurgical alloys to meet the challenges of the energy transition, including high-pressure Hydrogen transport and Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS).
